18SEP14: The Only Constant is Change

CrossFit Reality

The Only Constant is Change:

In the world of CrossFit the only thing that remains constant is change.  It’s very similar to the military in that respect, as things are constantly changing around us constantly evolving for the better (at least that parts true for CF).  We love to be in our comfort zones thats just human nature.  However, all of us to some extent accept the fact that we must endure change.  If you do CrossFit for any length of time you knowingly or unknowingly adapt to your surroundings that change on a daily basis.  Over the past month our box has been constantly changing and we all have adapted to it.  New equipment, new class schedules, new trainers, new everything etc.  So as hard set as we are on keeping things within our comfort zone you have all displayed the ability to adapt and overcome change.  Now lets transition that to our workout mentality.  CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements done at high intensity over broad and modal time domains.  Meaning basically that everything is changing every day.  Once again everyone here has accepted that challenge and gone along for the ride.  Why do we stop at that though?  The point of CrossFit is to make you healthier, to show you that you can do and try new things.  Its time to apply these principles to our everyday life and get outside of the box and participate in new activities!
